The Demonic Duo

Several years ago, I bought a Perazzi double-barreled shot at an estate auction. I knew Perazzi to be a high-quality manufacturer with a solid reputation among gun enthusiasts. I took the gun out for the first time at a church shooting event and had an unforgettable experience. I took my turn to shoot at a clay bird, yelled, "Pull," squeezed the trigger, and felt an angry mule kick me in the shoulder. The beautiful-looking Perazzi malfunctioned, and both barrels went off at the same time!

The dragon (Satan) has opposed God's plan of salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, and has planned a double-barreled attack. This is the demonic duo. Along with their master, Satan, they form the unholy trinity. In the Tribulation period, Satan will raise an individual who will be a global political and military leader. He will be welcomed as a calm voice who will answer the world's problems.

His strong, steady appearance will appeal to a world reeling from chaos. In addition to the Antichrist, John witnesses the rise of another figure, a sinister figure who will deceive and convince the masses to put their faith and trust in the first beast. This individual will be known as the False Prophet. In the midst of worldwide chaos, the false prophet's religion will offer false hope to a starving world.

This unholy distortion will exemplify Satan's final attempt at blaspheming God and deceiving the world. Today, Satan pursues the same goal of deception. He disguises himself as an angel of light and tricks people into worshipping and following him. This is why it is important to be careful not to embrace everything that looks and sounds "religious."

A lot of things that are happening in the name of God are not coming from God. Jesus said in Mark 13:22, "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect."

It's one thing to be aware of the adversary's plan for the future, but our first responsibility is to be alert and actively engaged in resisting him today!

Press on!
