The book of Ecclesiastes is a record of his search for meaning and satisfaction everywhere he could look. Ultimately, he comes to the conclusion that all earthly goals and ambitions when pursued as an end to themselves are empty; they don’t satisfy. Ecclesiastes is an honest look at what life would be like in a world without God.
